· 40 minute motor boat to the Inkaterra luxury lodge in the Tambopata reserve
· After lunch introductory excursion around the Tambopata reserve

· Following a short motorboat ride from the lodge, this activity begins with a walk to Lake Sandoval.
· Visit aboard a wooden canoe around the mirror-like oxbow Sandoval Lake. Look out for monkeys, parrots and many other kinds of birds, and the great otters that inhabited in this precious lake.
· During the afternoon walk through the treetops along suspended bridges that link eight observation platforms. Enjoy landscapes and views that would be unimaginable from below, while on the look-out for giant strangler fig trees, orchids, toucans, woodpeckers, trogons and –with luck- monkeys or sloths.
· After your descent from the canopy, experience the Anaconda walk for about 30 minutes along the 200-meter wooden bridge over the Aguajales swamps. In this lush ecosystem, you may observe the various species of amphibians, snakes, birds, mammals and abundant flora and trees of this flooded marshland. The walk finishes returning to the lodge.
· After traveling by boat for one and a half hours towards the bolivian border, you'll arrive at the Palma Real native village, home to some 70 Ese’ Eja families.
· A two-hour visit offers you an insight into the traditions and culture of this indigenous ethnic group, whose simple dwellings inspired the design of the Reserva Amazonica lodge. You will learn their lifestyle and livelihood, hunting and farming techniques, and the challenges the Ese’Eja face in a changing world.
· At the end of our excursion come back to the lodge and enjoy a great dinner.
· In the morning on a motor boat from your lodge to the Inkaterra Butterfly house located right next to the airport.
· Visit the Butterfly house, home of the largest variety of butterflies in the world.
· Flight from Puerto Maldonado to Cusco
· Upon arrival in Cusco you'll meet your tour guide and private transfer from the Airport to the Luxury Hotel located in the Sacred valley at lower elevation than Cusco city for altitude acclimatization.
· Along the way from the airport to the Sacred Valley we'll stop at the viewpoints and also visit an Animal Recovery Center for observations of condors, pumas, parrots, llamas and alpacas.
