Overview:

 

A 9 day adventure visiting Lima Peru, with its great museums and colonial buildings and the wonders of Machu Picchu in Cusco. In this trip you will also get to know Cusco, the Capital of the Inca Empire and the Sacred Valley of the Incas. All of this with accommodations at all luxury hotels and with all private excursions.

 

Day By Day Itinerary:

 

Day 1: Arrival to Lima

 

· Upon arrival in Lima meet your tour guide and private transfer from the airport to your luxury hotel in Miraflores

· Overnight in Miraflores/Lima

 

Day 2: Lima: City of the Kings (B,D)

 

· In the morning visit the Gold Museum and the Larco Museum

· During the afternoon tour in Lima Colonial District including: Plaza Mayor, Plaza San Martín, Jiron de la Unión, the Cathedral, the San Francisco Church and its catacombs

· Finally we will visit the Magic Water Circuit.

· Special welcome dinner

· Overnight in Lima.

 

Day 3: Flight from Lima to Cusco – Sacred Valley (L,D)

 

· In the morning 1 hour flight Lima to Cusco ( included)

· Upon arrival in Cusco meet your tour guide and private transfer Airport – Luxury Hotel located in the Sacred Valley at lower elevation than Cusco for altitude acclimatization

· We will stop along the way from the airport to the Sacred Valley at different viewpoints and visit an Animal Recovery Center for observation of condors, pumas, parrots, llamas and alpacas.

· Rest of the day at leisure

· Overnight in the Sacred Valley

 

Day 4: Peruvian Paso Horseback riding & Maras Moray Andean Communities (B,L)

 

· In the morning Peruvian Paso horseback riding around beautiful areas in the Sacred Valley and along the Sacred River

· Special picnic lunch

· During the afternoon a visit to the picturesque town of Maras, church, and the circulate terraces of Moray

· Overnight in the Sacred Valley

 

Day 5: Sacred Valley of the Incas (B,L)

 

· Full day private Sacred Valley Tour including: Pisaq remains, Pisaq market, local corn beer brewery, Ollantaytambo remains, Ollantaytambo village

· Overnight in the Sacred Valley

 

Day 6: Machu Picchu by Luxury Vista Dome wagon service (B,D)

 

· In the morning a 2 hour trip aboard the Luxury Vista Dome wagon service from the Sacred Valley to the Machu Picchu Inca city

· During the afternoon a private tour to Machu Picchu (Afternoons in Machu Picchu are less crowded)

· Overnight at Inkaterra Lodge, Aquas Calientes

 

Day 7: Machu Picchu – Cusco (B,D)

 

· Morning free in Machu Picchu

· Wayna Picchu climbing: Optional

· Early afternoon Luxury Vista Dome wagon service from Machu Picchu to Cusco

Day 8: Cusco City Tour (B,D)

 

· In the morning, private City Tour including: Sacsayhuaman, San Pedro local market, Cusco Cathedral and Temple of the Sun, “Koricancha”

· Rest of the day at leisure

· Special goodbye dinner with folk show
